Wrote web exclusives for texasmonthly.com. Observed and learned the different roles that each of the staff members of the magazine fulfill to keep it running smoothly. Transcribed audio clips for writers, as well as archives dating back to 1973, when Texas Monthly was first printed. Successfully performed intern duties such as fact-checking and researching, attended monthly editorial meetings, and pitched story ideas.
Developed unique online content for the site and created a daily blog series called The day in music news. Provided in-the-field reporting on several breaking news stories. Assisted with a variety of day-to-day tasks that included linking, cropping photographs, uploading video, music and other supporting material to accompany blog posts. Started a new series and remained as a contributor.
